Beautiful Scene at Canadiens Practice Mid-July as Multiple Players Hit the Ice, Including Surprise Name
We were treated to a great scene just moments ago, live from the CN Sports Complex in Brossard, where the Montreal Canadiens practice.
Even though we're in the middle of July, even though the guys are technically on vacation, many Habs players were on the ice today training - and the intensity was high.
We love to see it! What a great surprise!
Montreal is probably the only city in the entire National Hockey League where you'll witness something like this in the heart of July.
The players are passionate!

We got the footage thanks to Patou Info and Frank Well Le Podcast Hockey - two pages we highly recommend following.
Nick Suzuki, Patrik Laine, Ivan Demidov, Alex Newhook, Arber Xhekaj, and Jayden Struble were all spotted on the ice, along with two invited goalies.
The most interesting name here is Patrik Laine, and we wanted to dive deeper into that.
To see a player who openly admitted in the past to having lost his passion for hockey back on the ice, going full intensity, in the middle of July.. that's incredibly encouraging!
It says a lot about Laine and his motivation heading into next season.
Quietly, this summer of 2025 is shaping up to be his first full off-season of proper training in a very, very long time.
It could change everything.
I don't know about you, but personally, I love seeing Patrik Laine on the ice so often - on his own initiative - especially during his vacation.
It's a great sign for this coming fall!
