As the Montreal Canadiens prepare for what is likely their most important game in the past three years, at the Bell Centre, no less, there's an update.
I'm not the one saying it.
In short, ahead of this much-anticipated March matchup, the Canadiens' opponents have just received some concerning news.
Brady Tkachuk is banged up and was absent from practice yesterday
Ottawa Senators head coach Travis Green announced that Tkachuk slightly twisted his hip during his team's most recent game.
He also took a puck to the face during Saturday's game against the
Maple Leafs.
The injury isn't extremely serious but could still force him to miss tonight's game against the Montreal Canadiens.
I know someone who would be disappointed to hear this..
This will be a situation to monitor in the coming minutes and hours.
I don't want to say this is good news for the Canadiens, because you can't celebrate an injury, but you can't deny that it would be beneficial.
Yesterday morning, Tkachuk wasn't even able to practice with his teammates.
"Tkachuk, Ullmark, and Jensen are not present at the Senators' practice."

And even if Tkachuk suits up tonight for what should feel like a playoff game, he still seems to be pretty banged up.
