Arber Xhekaj Sends a Clear Message to Maple Leafs Players Looking to Rough Up Canadiens
In a press conference over the past few hours, Montreal Canadiens defenseman Arber Xhekaj made some strong statements.
Specifically questioned about the unfortunate incidents that occurred between Montreal and Toronto in recent weeks, including the serious injuries suffered by Patrik Laine and David Reinbacher, and the dangerous hit by Max Domi on Lane Hutson, the Sheriff sent a clear message.
The Canadiens players won't let themselves be pushed around this year.
Arber Xhekaj is ready for Toronto
Speaking specifically about the Leafs, Xhekaj mentioned that he is ready and waiting for them.
«Arber Xhekaj on whether he expects things to get rough during the games against Toronto and Ottawa this week:
«I think, with or without what happened in pre-season, it would be the case.
The games are going to get tense anyway - these are teams that don't like each other very much...I'm ready!»

We're really looking forward to the start, and it's likely to be a great show.
It's also clear that Xhekaj is eagerly anticipating this game and won't hesitate to «have some fun» with some of the Maple Leafs players if needed.
We advise them not to stir up trouble tonight, because Arber has something to prove this evening.
Let's not forget that the Canadiens confirmed Arber Xhekaj will be in the lineup for this season-opening game of 2024-2025, while Jayden Struble is currently injured.
And you, do you think Martin St-Louis' squad will win tonight against Craig Berube's new Maple Leafs?
It's going to be an intense and very physical game.
