I think it's fair to say that young Juraj Slafkovsky is having a tough start to the season.

If we remember correctly, some analysts said he was the best player for the Montreal Canadiens (in the second half of last season), and it was hard to disagree with them.

Slafkovsky genuinely seemed on track to become a dominant winger in the National Hockey League and a star player for Martin St-Louis' squad.

However, he is really struggling to take off this season.

Juraj Slafkovsky Gets Called Out by Pierre McGuire

Following the game against the Chicago Blackhawks, one expert, in particular, was hard on the young Slovak.

Juraj Slafkovsky was disappointing last night..

Pierre McGuire: "There were two players on that line who were playing and one player who was not, and that hurt them."

He was referring to the top line, obviously consisting of Cole Caufield, Nick Suzuki, and Juraj Slafkovsky.

Do you agree with him? Do you think he's being too harsh on Slafkovsky by saying there were only two players on the first line last night for Martin St-Louis?

Check out the full clip in question:

Slafkovsky, aged 20, standing at 6 foot 3 and weighing 225 pounds, is, of course, the Montreal Canadiens' first overall pick in 2022.

Despite everything, he has 21 points in 35 games this season, including 4 goals.

Last season, he recorded 20 goals and 30 assists (50 points) in 82 games. The Slovak also had a slow start last season but an absolutely exceptional finish.

Do you think it will be the same this season?

Are you starting to feel a bit worried about Slaf?
