We were treated to a great scene in the Montreal Canadiens' locker room after the win against the Florida Panthers.
For two nights in a row, the Montreal Canadiens have been playing in steamroller mode.
On Wednesday, the Habs defeated the Calgary Flames 4-1 at the Bell Centre. On Thursday, they did it again against the Florida Panthers with a 6-2 victory.
The name on everyone's lips is Alexandre Texier. On Thursday, number 85 recorded the first hat trick of his NHL career.
The night before, he had already filled the scoresheet with one goal and two assists against Calgary.
The craziest part is the contrast since his arrival.
In St. Louis, he totaled 12 points in 39 games over two seasons.
In Montreal, he has just put together two three-point games in less than 24 hours, and it's got the entire league talking.
Kent Hughes also brought him here on a one-year, $1 million contract, which helps explain the enthusiasm.
Alexandre Texier and the wolf head for player of the game
After the win against the Panthers, the atmosphere in the locker room once again stole the show.
The wolf head for the game made the rounds, and Texier kept both feet on the ground despite the perfect night. He even said, with a smile on his face, that he hadn't planned on having a game like that.
In goal, Samuel Montembeault stopped 25 of the Panthers' 27 shots, and it was his performance that earned him the famous wolf head for player of the game-handed to him by Texier himself.
Texier's teammates asked him to keep the wolf head for himself, but he refused and gave it to Montembeault instead.
However, what followed was quite interesting.

We love it!
