A future star player in the NHL wants to play for Martin St-Louis and the Montreal Canadiens
TVA Sports journalist Nicolas Cloutier followed up with another very interesting article, this time involving future NHL star James Hagens.
Last night, he teased an exclusive interview with a "mega-prospect," and clearly, the article did not disappoint.
It turns out the article was about James Hagens, who is already unanimously considered the projected first overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.
A true pure talent.
A great interview with James Hagens and a few questions about the Montreal Canadiens
The 17-year-old prodigy, James Hagens, admitted that he has always appreciated the city of Montreal for a very special reason.
"I've been there a few times for tournaments. What struck me is that you can walk to a school down the street, and there will be an outdoor rink. I think that's one of the coolest things in the world."
- James Hagens, who was impressed by the number of outdoor rinks there
Wow, talk about a real passion.
"The people there are so lucky to have that. We don't have many neighborhood rinks, really, on Long Island. When I see one, I think of Montreal. I think of the fans and the team they have there; Montreal is such a beautiful place, and it would be so cool to play there."
- James Hagens
Landing a talent like James Hagens would be huge for the Montreal Canadiens, but it would also mean that 1) the Habs had a very, very tough season, or 2) they got very lucky with the lottery.
In any case, stay tuned! This once again proves wrong those who think that good players don't want to play in Montreal.
It should also be noted that Hagens is a good friend of the Canadiens' 21st overall pick in the 2023 Draft, Michael Hage.
A Hage and Hagens duo would sound great at the Bell Centre! We highly recommend the full interview, available here.
