A fourth-line forward from the Montreal Canadiens is heading to San Jose
A familiar name to Montreal Canadiens fans has just moved to the San Jose Sharks organization.
Forward Colin White, who was a regular on Martin St. Louis' fourth line in 2024, is officially leaving the Canadiens organization.
Some observers believed he would return to the organization and that Kent Hughes would find him a role, but we have just received confirmation that this will not be the case.
Colin White signs with the San Jose Sharks organization
We wish him the best of luck in the future.
«The Colin White era is over in Montreal. The San Jose Barracuda have signed forward Colin White to an AHL contract for the 2024-25 season.»
- San Jose Barracuda
He will therefore start the next season in San Jose, but in the American Hockey League.
White, 27, is a former client of Kent Hughes.
He is a 6-foot-1, 194-pound center, who was drafted 21st overall by the Ottawa Senators in 2015 (1st round).
The Montreal Canadiens claimed him off NHL waivers on February 22nd, coming from the Pittsburgh Penguins.
During the 2023-2024 season, in 28 games played, he recorded a grand total of zero points. (10 points in 21 games in the AHL)
However, he had scored 41 points in 71 games at the age of 21 in the National Hockey League.
More details to follow.
He is still quite young, so we sincerely hope he can return to the player he was a few years ago.
