The Montreal Canadiens will not practice today as the team traveled to San Jose following an embarrassing 5-1 loss to the Seattle Kraken. As of Wednesday morning, the Montreal Canadiens' record is one win and six losses, which is not very good.

There are many reasons for this bumpy start to the season, including lack of commitment, lack of work, lack of leadership, not to mention the big loss that this unit is going through right now.

With so little substance and desire, the Blue-White-Red players certainly feel like running away from San Jose since the team hasn't won there since 1999. That was on November 23, 1999, to be exact.

At that time, Jose Theodore was taking his first steps with the Montreal organization. The team won the game in overtime (3-2), thanks to a goal from, brace yourself, Craig Rivet, assisted by Sergei Zholtok and Eric Weinrich.

At that time, Mike Ribeiro was starting, Shayne Corson, Francis Bouillon, Patrick Poulin, Trevor Linden and Scott Lachance were in the lineup. Let's just say it's been a very long time.

In short, the Canadiens arrived in San Jose in the basement of their division, their conference and in 30th place in the league standings... Nothing to turn things around, right?
