Surprise firing with the Habs: an important clarification concerning Chantal Machabée and she responds
As we reported earlier this evening, Marc Dumont, who was the liaison between the fans and the Montreal Canadiens organization, has just been informed of his surprise dismissal.
The Habs fired him via ZOOM, according to his own words, and he is visibly in shock.
There are many reactions as Dumont was a great liaison and resource for CH fans.
He was very popular with the fans and gave us great access to the players.
As we explain in the article above, the circumstances surrounding Dumont's dismissal are rather controversial and may have something to do with the "Carey Price and the Masterton votes" affair, according to many.
In short, some fans have unfortunately blamed the excellent Chantal Machabée for Dumont's particular dismissal.
The latter immediately made a point of correcting the situation.
