Who wouldn't dream of reliving the Montreal-Quebec rivalry in the NHL? Quebec Premier François Legault said last week that he would meet with NHL commissioner Gary Bettman eventually to discuss a possible return of the Nordiques.
With such a statement, Quebecers can only be excited by this incredible news.
However, it seems that one of the most reputable insiders in hockey, Elliotte Friedman, is not a fan of François Legault's approach. He even seems skeptical of the Quebec Premier's comments.
If we are to believe Friedman's words, François Legault's comments would be nothing but hot air. Should the whole thing be taken with a grain of salt?
However, according to several rumors, the Quebec government would be ready to invest close to a billion dollars to bring the Nordiques back to life.
In addition, several groups of investors would also be in the loop to advance the project.
