In an interview today on BPM Sports with Georges Laraque and Maxime Truman, former Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban made a statement that surprised many.
According to PK, he could definitely still play on the top-4 of an NHL team's defensive squad this season.
We love it, he is confident in his abilities.
"As far as my skills go, do I think I could still play in the NHL today? I'm sure I could. I don't think there are four defensemen per team that are better than me right now."
"I would definitely still be a top 4 defenseman in the NHL."
"Right now, I've simply put myself in a position where I can control my own destiny."
Clearly, Subban is suggesting that he could play in the NHL this season, but he preferred to make the decision he did, so that he could "control his career and his life choices." We have to respect that 100%.

A surprising statement, but a PK Subban statement.
