It's finally tomorrow that the Montreal Canadiens will play their very first game of the season, and for the occasion, we now have our first "official" trios and the probable line-up to face the Toronto Leafs this Wednesday.
At yesterday's practice, Jonathan Drouin and Michael Pezzetta were out and it's exactly the same situation today.
Forwards:
Caufield - Suzuki - Anderson
Monahan- Dach- Hoffman
Slafkovsky - Dvorak- Gallagher
Pitlick - Evans - Dadonov
Defenders:
Guhle - Savard
Xhekaj - Wideman
Harris - Kovacevic
Guards:
Allen
Montembeault
Barring a major turnaround, we can assume that Pezzetta and Drouin will be left out of the first game of the season.
We can also assume that this is the final and official lineup for tomorrow, barring another injury or Mike Matheson's return to health by then.
Arber Xhekaj will start the season in the top-4, along with Chris Wideman.
Also, remember this:
