In the last few hours, a publication by the leader of the Quebec Conservative Party, Éric Duhaime, has gone viral. (especially among sports fans)
Quebec's top hockey player Jonathan Marchessault has chosen to publicly associate himself with the PCQ and offer his support to Duhaime.
See Éric Duhaime's post on Facebook:
"Yesterday, I had the privilege of having dinner with Jonathan Marchessault.
Jon is not only one of the biggest stars on his team and in the National Hockey League.
He is also a role model off the ice.
Never drafted, he had to work hard to make the NHL. He came into the league later and more determined than the others. He didn't get discouraged because some people didn't believe in him.
He is also a father of four who cares deeply about youth. He wrote to François Legault last year to call for the rapid return of sports and to denounce abusive health measures: "I think you (Mr. Legault) are misjudging the benefits of organized sports activity for the physical and mental health of young people.
The Quebec Conservatives are extraordinarily happy and blessed to have Jonathan's support today." - Éric Duhaime
