At Guy Lafleur's national funeral today, the entire hockey world was present in Montreal.
Think of Gary Bettman, Marc Bergevin and the entire Montreal Canadiens club, except for Tyler Pitlick, who had to move to Calgary, and Jeff Petry.
After the season wrap-up last Saturday, Petry took off for Michigan to be with his family.
For real, waiting until Tuesday afternoon, like Carey Price and the majority of the Tricolore players, to leave for his native region, was too complicated?
A bit disappointing, considering the importance of Guy Lafleur for not only the Montreal Canadiens organization, but for the hockey world in general.
It just shows how small Jeff Petry is.
