We told you about it in the last few hours, we had a huge surprise in the National Hockey League waivers, when the Detroit Red Wings put Jakub Vrana's name on it.
We're talking about a 26-year-old forward who is the second-leading scorer in the entire league since 2020 (per 60 minutes), at five-on-five, behind only Auston Matthews.
Vrana, drafted 13th overall in 2014, was the centerpiece of the trade involving Anthony Mantha (between Detroit and Washington).
