We told you about it on Thursday, there was a surprise firing at the Montreal Canadiens, when the person who was in charge of the liaison between the fans and the CH organization, Marc Dumont, was fired.
It's a story that has caused a lot of reaction, especially because of the special circumstances surrounding the firing.
In short, as my colleague
Keven Mawn of Fanadiens.com points out, immediately after announcing his departure from the Tricolore organization, Dumont revealed one of his first wishes.
"Now... Announce
Cole Caufield's contract extension." - Marc Dumont
We imagine this is news he was eager to cover and announce to fans, and it's his first request as a "mere fan" of the Habs.
As he mentions himself, he remains a Montreal Canadiens fan and loves the fans.
He was obviously anxious to announce Cole Caufield's contract extension, which should become official relatively soon. At least if Cole does what
Nick Suzuki did, signing an 8-year contract on October 12, 2021.
This is a file that we are watching closely, between now and the start of the 2022 season.
