Bedard's stellar performance at the World Junior Hockey Championship, as well as the Habs recent losing streak, has certainly amplified this movement.
With the records he's breaking, it fuels even more the desire to see him put on the tricolour uniform next season. On this subject, the excellent journalist Anthony Martineau, from TVA Sports, had the opportunity to speak with Connor Bedard's father, Thomas Bedard, and see what he had to say about Montreal:
"Fifty years ago, before I was born, the Bedard family was settled in Quebec City. Since then, our clan has moved to Western Canada. That's where I was born and where Connor was born. I only learned about this a few years ago. I definitely want to go back to Quebec one day, so if it was ever for Connor, it would make a lot of sense for our family." - Thomas Bedard
We love that Thomas mentioned the family's huge interest in the Montreal Canadiens. If Thomas had his way, the Canadiens would be right at the top of the Bedard family's list and the feeling is absolutely mutual.
