Last night was another tough game for the Montreal Canadiens, who lost 6-3 to the Nashville Preds.
In a press conference after the game, head coach Martin St-Louis mentioned that one of the team's biggest problems right now is some defensive coverage.
There are some glaring mistakes being made, and the Habs are shooting themselves in the foot.
There is a picture that illustrates this very well and that is making the rounds on the web. It's hard to understand how this could have happened, but look at the result:
Alone, in yellow and in possession of the puck: a defenseman who had 96 points last year.
Not ideal.
This is an embarrassing cover, and unfortunately it happens all too often these days.
As Martin St-Louis says, the Habs need to help their goaltenders more, and avoid situations like the ones above to happen too often.
