Signing Alert: The Colorado Avalanche Just Hit a Home Run
It is now official, the Colorado Avalanche may have hit a huge home run by announcing the signing of the promising prospect Nikolai Kovalenko.
For those who don't know him yet, this 23-year-old player finished 11th best scorer in the KHL last year, recording an impressive 21 goals and 54 points in 56 games.
He also stood out in terms of points per game, ranking third in the league, a remarkable achievement considering his young age.
Selected in the sixth round of the 2018 draft, this Russian forward could follow in the footsteps of Artemi Panarin and Kirill Kaprizov and have a significant impact in the years to come.
The craziest part of this story is that Kovalenko will only arrive in North America for the 2024-2025 season, which means he will be even more dominant when he joins the NHL, and he will be signed at a discounted price with an entry-level contract valid for two seasons.
Wow! It will be a major and low-cost addition for the Avalanche in the years to come.
