The NHL trade deadline is less than a month and a half away, and the trade rumors are growing.

Particularly with the Montreal Canadiens, who will once again be in the "sellers" category, some names are likely to be traded. (like what we saw last season)

Two names have been specifically targeted by two different sources.

Regarding defenseman Joel Edmundson, see what Renaud Lavoie just said on TVA Sports:

"He will normally be traded by the trade deadline. There are at least 5-6 teams that are interested in his services right now."

Interesting! So he's getting pretty far ahead of himself, and he clearly mentions that Edmundson will be traded by the trade deadline, normally.

Also, there's this, read in an article by former Montreal Canadiens employee Marc Dumont:

"I'm inclined to believe there will be a lot of potential movement between now and the NHL trade deadline, but there's only one guarantee: Sean Monahan will be traded."

Wow, once again, he's getting very far ahead of himself and he seems certain of his move.

It's no surprise to hear that Edmundson and Monahan are on the NHL trade market, but it's certainly relevant to see how several sources seem increasingly convinced that these deals will happen soon (within 6 weeks max).

We could be seeing a lot of action!
