The head coach of the Avalanche has already issued a clear warning to Jonathan Drouin: a line change is possible

During the last few minutes in a press conference, the head coach of the Colorado Avalanche, Jared Bednar, issued a clear warning to Jonathan Drouin.

Contrary to what many believe, Drouin's spot on the first line is far from guaranteed.

Bednar clearly stated that his position in the lineup would depend on his on-ice performance.

"Bednar clarifies that the pairing of Drouin and MacKinnon is not set in stone, far from it. It's to be determined, it's to be earned."

Drouin will thus need to quickly step up and prove that he has what it takes to play on a top NHL line. Otherwise, he will quickly be demoted.
