Signing alert for the Montreal Canadiens organization: last-minute announcement regarding forward Joseph Mizzi and the Trois-Rivières Lions

It went unnoticed because of the trade with the Detroit Red Wings involving defenseman Jeff Petry, but there was another acquisition we want to highlight today in the Montreal Canadiens' organization chart.

A signing!

Forward Joseph Mizzi has signed a one-season deal with the Trois-Rivières Lions in the last few hours.

"Joseph Mizzi will start his first season with the Trois-Rivières Lions on October 20th!
The forward will ignite the Videotron Coliseum ice with his excellent game vision and his contribution to the team's offense." - Trois-Rivières Lions



Last season, Mizzi scored 21 goals and 52 points, in 36 games, in the AlpsHL.

A few years ago, he played for the Hamilton Bulldogs, the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, and the Windsor Spitfires.

The 5-foot-8 forward has certainly moved around a lot. We're eager to see him in action in just a few short weeks.
