Stéphane Julien, who was the assistant coach of Canada's Junior Team at the most recent World Junior Hockey Championship, recently gave a very interesting interview to Martin Lemay on BPM Sports.

In particular, Julien told an interesting anecdote about captain Shane Wright, who he said was the unquestioned leader of the club.

It will be remembered that Connor Bedard and Adam Fantilli both attempted a goal at Michigan in Canada's first game, a game that ended in a big loss for Team Canada.

And it didn't go over well on Wright's board.

"After the game, he (Shane Wright) stood up in the room and he too said it: the Michigans, done! No more!"

- Stephane Julien

He issued the same warning at the first intermission, following a Bedard attempt.

Wright was not happy with the turn of events, and he did send a clear message to the young Bedard and Fantilli in the first game of the contest.

In fact, you can listen to the full interview right here: Stephane Julien on BPM Sports with Martin Lemay.

"In the loss to the Czech Republic, two Canadian players had tried Michigan. Coach of the Canadian team, Stéphane Julien tells how it happened in the players' room." - BPM Sports

For the rest of the tournament, the "Michigan" goal attempts were left out, and the rest is now history.
