Since the beginning of the season, many experts expected a better performance from the Vancouver Canucks.

Having just missed the playoffs in 2022, this team has many quality young players, but let's just say the Canucks disappoint in 2022-2023. They are currently sixth in the Pacific Division and some veterans are at odds with head coach Bruce Boudreau, including veteran Brock Boeser.

The forward is having a pretty average season with 16 points, including only four goals in 20 games, and has even been left out of the lineup a few times since the beginning of the season.

In fact ,as reported by Keven Mawn, of Fanadiens.com, the Canucks have even given the Boeser clan permission to talk to other teams, in an effort to facilitate a trade.

Could the Habs be interested in Brock Boeser's services?

Montreal Hockey Now tipster Marco D'Amico weighed in on the matter in a recent article. While the Habs aren't currently in a position to welcome a player who is making $6.5 million a year for two more seasons, his presence on the team could be beneficial.

Similar to what Sean Monahan is doing now, Boeser could be a mentor to some of the Habs' younger players and at only 25 years old, D'Amico says he could be part of the team's rebuilding plan.

The names of Josh Anderson, Mike Hoffman, Jonathan Drouin and even Evgeny Dadonov have been mentioned as potential targets for the Canucks because in order to acquire him, Kent Hughes will certainly have to part with a hefty contract to make room on the Habs' payroll.
