In the last few minutes, it was Alex Newhook's turn.
Here is the official statement in question:
We learned, among other things, that Newhook visited the Bell Centre on Monday for the first time since his trade.
He mentioned the following:
"Obviously, [it's] a franchise with so much history, and seeing all the history in the dressing room definitely motivates us to get back to that winning culture.
I didn't know the number of jerseys that have been retired here.
I started with 18, which was the number I wore in Colorado, then 19 and 16, which are also retired, so I came across 15. I'm excited to wear it again."
