Indeed, we are still waiting for a verdict on the five players who will be suspended due to the 2018 Team Canada Junior scandal. One of the names frequently mentioned in the rumor mill as being involved is the Flyers' goaltender, Carter Hart. Judging by his recent remarks, Brière seems eager to finally get some clarity on this matter.

A powerful statement.
If Carter Hart is eventually found to be involved in this situation, he will undoubtedly face disciplinary action, potentially even a suspension by the League. This would require Brière to quickly find a replacement goaltender. It's understandable why the GM would have preferred this issue to be settled during the summer rather than shortly before the season starts.
