"Darren Dreger, on TSN's intermission show, discussing the Canadiens' goalie situation at camp, stated that 'what's being said in Montreal is that Cayden Primeau will be claimed off waivers' if he is placed there.

Wow! According to the behind-the-scenes information, Primeau would therefore be claimed off the NHL's waivers (if Kent Hughes exposes him).
This greatly complicates the Canadiens' decision, who already rely on the services of Jake Allen and Samuel Montembeault.
In order to play with the Laval Rocket, the young goalie would therefore have to go through waivers. And according to Dreger, 'it's believed in Montreal that Primeau will be claimed if he is cut'.
