Major: the Canadiens finally add reinforcements to their lineup, and it's going to change everything for players like Sean Monahan

The Montreal Canadiens will finally get reinforcements in their lineup tomorrow against the St. Louis Blues, as centerman Christian Dvorak will finally be eligible to leave the LTIR and return to play!

This is major for Martin St-Louis, and here's why.

Dvorak will apparently slot in as the third-line center, which will allow the excellent Sean Monahan to move up as the second-line center, or to pair up with Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki.

In either case, this would be excellent for the team. Monahan is clearly ready for a bigger role.

Note that the young Alex Newhook might go back to playing wing, where he has had the most success to date. (which is another piece of good news)

This is a situation to monitor, but it will be an important return, especially because of what it will finally allow Martin St-Louis to do with his line combinations.

Check out an interesting proposal here.

It is being said here that Dvorak will return to play, but be aware that it is not officially confirmed by the CH.

However, it would be extremely surprising if he doesn't play, considering he's been practicing as a regular for several weeks now.

He has seemed ready to return to play for quite some time but had to wait to be eligible to leave the long-term injured list. And he will be eligible as of tomorrow.
