In the last few seconds, a major piece of news has hit the hockey world and it's bad news for the Toronto Maple Leafs and their fans.

Star forward Auston Matthews is seriously injured and will miss a minimum of three weeks of activities. Ouch!

The Leafs will be without their 1C Auston Matthews for a minimum of three weeks due to a knee sprain.

Matthews, 25, has 25 goals, 53 points through 47 games played for Toronto this season.


This moves John Tavares up to 1C, Pontus Holmberg goes up to the 2C spot.
