As we all know, hockey is not Florida's favorite sport. We saw an example of that Monday night in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final in Tampa.
In the press box, the arena preferred to display the Rays baseball game on the screens rather than provide the journalists present with the hockey game and its replays. The whole thing greatly frustrated Luc Gélinas, who didn't hesitate to tell the NHL his way of thinking via his Twitter account.
"when you say a League of spits! In Tampa, not only is the auxiliary press box very far away, but we won't get any coverage because the TVs are on baseball" - Luc Gélinas
We don't know if it's because of Gélinas, but almost 10 minutes later, hockey was finally shown on the press box screens...
Let's hope that the arena's managers have learned from their mistake... It's a ridiculous situation.
