Leon Draisaitl and the Montreal Canadiens: a monster trade offer has just resurfaced and dates back to 2016

The defenseman had just racked up 51 points in 68 games, but the Canadiens management questioned if number 76 was a team player and, in hindsight, Weber's arrival was a good thing for the organization.
However, as reported by Nicolas Desrosiers from Marqueur.com, another trade offer involving Subban has resurfaced, and let's just say it could have completely changed the image of the Canadiens franchise.
According to the Big Head Hockey blog on X, there were serious rumors that an absolutely monstrous offer was on the table between the Canadiens and the Edmonton Oilers.
Here it is:
In hindsight, we can agree that this trade would have given the Canadiens a completely different look because if we assume that Bergevin had also inherited the fourth overall pick in the 2016 draft, he could have got his hands on Matthew Tkachuk and Clayton Keller, who were drafted sixth and seventh respectively.
Imagine the Canadiens in 2023 with Draisaitl, Keller, and Tkachuk in the lineup!
Well, this is only speculations, and as we know, this trade did not happen.
But it's incredible to see that P.K. Subban had such high value in the eyes of some general managers, but in the end, it was Shea Weber who finally landed in Montreal in the fall of 2016.
