Leafs Prospect Pool in Shambles After Concerning Report From The Athletic

Toronto Maple Leafs fans often consider their prospect pool to be among the best in the NHL. They seem to think their youngsters are better than they actually are, and it takes an unbias source to ground them back to reality.

The Athletic Reveals the Truth

The Athletic just released their annual list of the NHL's top 50 draft prospects. This list is well thought out, and a lot of work goes into making sure it's at its best.

The top five draft prospects were as follows.




The list ranges on and on, covering what Scott Wheeler believes to be the top 50 prospects in the NHL. It didn't take long for Leafs fans to point out that despite this list being quite extensive, not a single Leafs prospect was included, with the exception being Nick Robertson as an honorable mention.

Leafs Fans Lose It

Maple Leafs fans didn't take kindly to this attack on their organization's drafting record and were quick to show it on social media.





While we're not shocked that Leafs fans are getting upset over this list, we're amazed at how confidently wrong they always are. Only time will tell if this list holds up, but we're confident it will.
