Matthew Tkachuk recently did an interview on the Cam and Strick podcast and threw a lot of shade at the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Panthers Knock Out Leafs

During the Panthers' miraculous finals run last playoffs, they had to get through a few difficult teams to get there. They beat the Bruins in the first round in seven games which left many Toronto fans thrilled that they would not need to face the Bruins.

Fans were chanting "We want Florida" after their round one victory against the Lightning.



However, five games later, the Panthers had advanced and the Leafs had been sent packing on home ice.

Tkachuk Disses Leafs

One of the most key members of the Panthers' playoff run was Matthew Tkachuk. Tkachuk would have certainly won the Conn Smyth if the Panthers had won the cup.

Recently, he went on to the Cam and Strick podcast and threw some shade.



That is pretty true and Toronto does not have a comeback to that. Now, the two teams will face off against each other a few times this upcoming season and the bad blood acrued during the playoffs will likely be on display in the regular season.
