Kaiden Guhle gives clear answer intentions World Juniors Hockey Championship

KAIDEN GUHLE GIVES A CLEAR ANSWER ON HIS INTENTIONS FOR THE NEXT WORLD JUNIORS HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIP

JUN 21, 2022  (15H39)      MARCO
Canadian prospect Kaiden Guhle is currently in Saint John with his junior team, the Edmonton Oil Kings, to participate in the Memorial Cup tournament. His team will face the Shawinigan Cataractes on Tuesday night.

On the sidelines of the game, the defenseman met with the media and stated that he had the prestigious tournament on his mind, and nothing else. He didn't have time to stop and think about what he's been through in 2021-2022 and what's next for him.

"For me, it's been go, go, go all year. It's been great to have all these experiences and it's been a fun year. It's nice to wrap it up here with these guys on the biggest stage in junior hockey." - Kaiden Guhle

So Guhle has one thing on his mind before he can think about his professional future, and that is winning the Memorial Cup. In fact, he hasn't yet decided whether he'll play in this summer's rematch of the World Junior Hockey Championship in Edmonton. His message is clear: right now, he is 100% focused on the Memorial Cup and nothing else.

Hockey Canada recently reported that the players who were in Alberta last December received a call that their positions were secured for this summer's rematch. Guhle, who was the team captain last winter, would have the opportunity to return to his position if he so chooses.

He will certainly accept the invitation, but his absence, should it occur, would be understandable. Guhle will have played a lot of hockey in the last few months and will not have that much rest this summer as the CH training camp will come soon enough after the JHMC.

It will be interesting to see Guhle's decision, but more importantly, to see how his team progresses in their quest for the Memorial Cup!
