Debates to trade Slafkovsky: Maxim Lapierre's publication sets the web ablaze as he brings everyone to order

This afternoon on BPM Sports, there was a rather surprising discussion:

A rather long segment talking about possible trades between the Montreal Canadiens and the New York Rangers involving Juraj Slafkovsky and Alexis Lafreniere.

Norman Flynn explained the following:

"One for one, Slafkovsky has not shown me anything, to date, that would be a top, that would be the face of that team. To date, I haven't seen anything like that to date. [...] Lafreniere, you're going to have to pay alot for him."

In a short but very direct video, the excellent Maxim Lapierre wanted to bring everyone to order. (with reason)

To listen:

"Now, it's rare that I make a video to express myself on social networks, but are we really debating whether to trade Slafkovsky here?

18 years old, he's played (not even) 41 games in the National Hockey League.

We're analyzing whether to trade him? Have a coffee gang, we need to wake up right now, that's enough."

To see:

We thought the segment was very entertaining (the one with Norman Flynn), but Max is 100% right.

Lafreniere, 21, was drafted 1st overall in 2020. He has 18 points in 42 games this season.

Slafkovsky, 18, was drafted 1st overall in 2022. He has 10 points in 37 games this season.
