Darren Dreger just raised a trade proposal between the Canadiens and the Stars involving Josh Anderson

Trade rumors are growing about forward Josh Anderson, and there is clearly interest in the NHL for him.

After the Oilers, the Flames and the Devils, the renowned Darren Dreger has just reported that the Dallas Stars are also being watched in this matter.

The Stars interested in acquiring Anderson?

Appearing on TSN 690 this morning, Dreger explained that the Stars are actively looking for a winger to complement the trio of Tyler Seguin and Mason Marchment. And they've reportedly possibly targeted Anderson.

Every year we see this major phenomenon. A strong winger with a good skating stroke, and capable of scoring goals, is traded at a very high price to a contending team.

One can think of Blake Coleman, traded for the equivalent of two first round picks in 2021.

One can think of Brandon Hagel, traded for a first round pick and two good prospects in 2022.

The examples are numerous.

Considering the large number of interested teams, one can dream of a major overbid and a huge return, in exchange for Anderson.

If this happens, do you think Kent Hughes will succumb to the temptation of trading him and freeing himself of nearly $6 million on the payroll? It's certainly possible.

If the Montreal Canadiens could acquire a first round pick and some prospects in exchange for Anderson, would you do it?
