Big development: it will finally be more than $49 million for Cole Caufield as reported by the renowned Darren Dreger
On TSN 690 this morning, renowned insider Darren Dreger revealed a not necessarily surprising, but important, piece of information regarding Cole Caufield's famous upcoming contract:
Darren Dreger, on the TSN690 morning show, says Cole Caufield will be looking for a bigger contract than what Matt Boldy got "7 x 7 million dollars is not enough."
So according to his sources, it will indeed be more than $49 million for Caufield, unless:
"If the Canadiens want Caufield at around $7 million per season, a shorter-term deal will likely be needed." - Via HabsLinks
We can forget about this one, though, because in a media scrum earlier this week, general manager Kent Hughes said he really wants to sign Caufield long-term (and Caufield wants to sign long-term too).
So it will obviously be over $49 million for Cole Caufield for his next contract. What is your prediction?
