Avalanche reveal their new lineup and Charles Hudon's position is getting a lot of attention

It goes unnoticed, but the defending Stanley Cup champions, the Colorado Avalanche, are going through some tough times right now.

Why? It would hardly be an exaggeration to say that they don't have a team anymore, or at least not an offense.

Look at their injured players:

- Artturi Lehkonen
- Evan Rodrigues
- Shane Bowers
- Gabriel Landeskog
- Darren Helm
- Valeri Nichushkin
- Nathan MacKinnon
- and we go on and on


So they have to call upon players who were normally (very) far from the National Hockey League, but who receive unexpected opportunities, precisely because of these numerous injuries.

Look at their current (sad) trios, to face the Boston Bruins:


You notice that Charles Hudon is on the first line! You can guess that it makes people react a lot.

At least, if you had told me, a few months ago, that Charles Hudon would be on the first line of the defending Stanley Cup champions, I certainly would not have believed you.

But here we are and it will be really interesting to watch tonight!

Charles Hudon on the Avalanche's first trio, watch for it starting at 9pm tonight.

In 20 AHL games, Hudon has 16 points in 20 games.
