Another twist: are the Canadiens about to re-trade Jeff Petry in the next few minutes?

As you know, in the last few minutes, Kent Hughes took us all by surprise by acquiring Jeff Petry, and that, almost exactly a year after trading him to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

But it's not over yet!

According to various sources, as mentioned by Eric Engels of Sportsnet, Kent Hughes is already actively working to re-trade Petry.

He is active on the phone.


There is a strong chance that the Canadiens will trade Petry again, if not before the start of the season, then before the deadline. I believe they are already working on it. (to trade him)

Note that Petry will have an impact of $4.69 million on the Habs' payroll.
