Announcement from the Sens before their game against the Montreal Canadiens and things are going to get stirred up
BY ELIAS SEPTEMBER 26, 2023 (5:41 PM)
To say the least, it's a peculiar lineup.
As you know, it's rare to see this, but a real rivalry (even in the preseason) has developed between the Canadiens and the Sens, mainly thanks to a certain Arber Xhekaj.
There was a lot of agitation between Montreal and Ottawa last year; Xhekaj is clearly not in their good books, their fans despise him, and it's clearly reflected in their lineup.
Things are likely to get stirred up tomorrow night!
To face the Canadiens, the Senators have decided to dress all their enforcers and absolutely none of their stars (apparently to protect them).
Mark Kastelic - Jiri Smejkal - Bokondji Imama
Josh Bailey - Zack MacEwen - Mathieu Joseph
Parker Kelly - Zack Ostapchuk - Rourke Chartier
Cole Reinhardt - Ridly Greig - Egor Sokolov
Travis Hamonic - Jacob Bernard-Docker
Erik Brannstrom - Dillon Heatherington
Tyler Kleven - Donovan Sebrango
and none other than Djibril Toure, who fought last week against a youngster from the Montreal Canadiens.

There are several heavyweights and tough guys in this lineup.
It's promising!
Will Arber Xhekaj and/or Michael Pezzetta be in uniform for the Habs? To be continued!
