Alex Killorn and the Montreal Canadiens: a big last-minute statement from the player, and it's not over yet

Some sources did indeed suggest that he might join the Montreal Canadiens, but it didn't materialize for the former Tampa Bay Lightning player and Stanley Cup champion.
Killorn was recently a guest on Chris Nilan's podcast, where the Halifax native, who grew up in Beaconsfield, revealed his attachment to the Canadiens:
"All my life, I've been a Canadiens fan. I remember wearing a Saku Koivu jersey until I was about 13 years old." - Killorn
Montreal could have signed him this summer, but Anaheim clearly wanted him more, resulting in him securing a handsome four-year contract worth $25 million.
"We didn't really talk to Montreal during free agency, so it wasn't really an idea.
But yes, Montreal would be a great place to play."

This last sentence caught the attention of many, and he even added:
"If it was to finish my career, play a season there, I think it would be special.
It seems like all my former teammates are now in that organization, like Marty [St. Louis], Vinny Lecavalier. Teddy Purcell is part of the scouting team. They have a heck of a team there, so it would be fun."
