Following the sad news of the day regarding Montreal Canadiens forward Cole Caufield, the organization provided few details as to what will happen next.

However, Dr. Harjas Grewal, who has accurately reported on many hockey injuries in recent weeks (including Kaiden Guhle's), has released this regarding Caufield:

«Likely a labral tear for Caufield

There are likely numerous players playing through a similar injury currently

Once he has surgery, timeline will likely be 5-6+ months which allows a full off season program and healthy start to the 23/24 season»

Really interesting! To be seen if the organization will eventually confirm this, or not, but it sounds like that according to a real expert.

So Caufield, 22, ends his 2022-23 season with a 26 goal, 36 point season, in 46 games. (Pace of 47 goals and 65 points per full season) His season is now over.

More details to come.
