It would confirm what the renowned Elliott Friedman was saying, as the Canucks know they won't get a big return for Boeser by trading him in the middle of the season, but they're fine with that.

Boeser, 25, is a 6-foot-1, 210-pound winger who was drafted in the first round in 2015. He has one of the best shots in the entire NHL and his potential is huge.

We're talking about a player who produced at a rate of 40 goals per 82 games in his rookie season with the Canucks. He also produced at rates of 73 and 70 points in his first two seasons.
