THE OTTAWA SENATORS HAVE THROWN THE TOWEL ON ONE OF THEIR YOUNG PROSPECTS

SEP 25, 2021  (15H48)      Z. GINGRAS-TOURANGEAU
Drafted in the first round (11th overall) by the Senators in 2016, center Logan Brown has so far not been able to establish himself full-time in the National Hockey League. However, he will be able to enjoy a fresh start in the St. Louis Blues organization, as they recently acquired him in return for forward Zach Sanford.

Now 23 years old, Brown will have played a total of 30 games for the Sens, collecting one goal and nine points in the process. However, he has been extremely successful with their AHL affiliate in Belleville, as evidenced by his seven goals and 28 points in 25 games during the 2019-20 season.

Sanford, meanwhile, will be in his third NHL organization. Selected with the 61st overall pick in the 2013 draft by the Capitals, the 6-foot-4, 207-pound left winger had been playing with the St. Louis Blues since 2016, with whom he won the Stanley Cup in 2019. He has so far played in 209 games in the big league, during which he has collected 74 points (38 goals).
